Why pay for maintenance?

Hi Kiran -

Please provide me a single reason why should I pay the maintenance for.

- Along with my family, I have been attacked by Stray Dogs in our premises multiple times.
- Milk Packets have been stolen multiple times from our gate.
- My dust bins have also stolen 3 times which placed outside my apartment.

These instances were still under the radius of my tolerance, I have complained the Security Multiple times for this lapse and as usual there has been no response from anyone.

What happened yesterday was beyond my tolerance capability. A New Pair of Brown Shoes were stolen yesterday from my residential premises in our absence. Now, before you come to me and say "How is that possible Sir ?" let me help you out. I stay in Cedar Wing, A Block, Apartment Number 1803. We have a grill main gate followed by foyer area and main door. We usually lock our grill gate when we are inside our apartment and without fail we put a lock when we are outside our apartment.

Yesterday also our apartment was locked when we were out for office. Evening when I came back I didn't find one pair of Brown Shoes which I have purchased recently.

I tried connecting with our Security Head, Mr. Jayprakash but got a very rude response saying it is not possible and if it happened we cannot control this type of activity. He provided full confidence on Cleaning Staffs and Security Guards saying they cannot do this activity. My concerns is if they cannot do that activity then is this not a Security Lapse ? Is he trying to say me that someone from outside, successfully entered into our premises and have done this task ? Is this the level of Security we are expecting we should have ?

As a solution, Mr. Jayprakash told that we will monitor for 2-3 days if someone is wearing those type of shoes, if we got we will provide you else you can forget it, it's just a small item.

Today it is indeed a small item, many of us might not be concerned much, but one thing is for sure that the person who has dared to do this can tomorrow dare to do anything.

No CCTV Camera is fixed anywhere in CEDAR Block from where I can see the footage. We have been staying in this Apartment for more than a year and we are still waiting for the day when CCTV Camera's will be fixed in the lifts.

For reference I am attaching the pic of my apartment from where the Shoes are stolen and also the pic of my shoes.

I know it's in your hand to check the CCTV footage in the main entry/exit and you are capable of finding the thief if you intend to do so. I know as usual I may not receive any actions from your end but its my duty to request you to take some actions.

@Greenagians: Please let me know if it comes in the radius of some Legal Actions, I am ok to do so. I am less concerned about my shoes and more concerned with the thought that tomorrow the theft can be bigger.

Thanks !

Regards,
Himanshu
