Saw this email today from a resident:
Dear Facilities, [ ] and Mr. [ ],
Oak Block C wing is frequently facing single phase power problem due to which power backup is not coming back for 20-30 minutes.
Securities and Electricians are totally ignorant of the potential danger of the situation.
Because of this, I once was stuck inside the lift for almost 15 minutes and once missed my train.
Solution is very simple - the DG Backup needs to be restarted if the phase becomes single circuit; but due to lack of proper training & communication from the management, electricians are taking it very casually.
In fact, last month when I came out of the lift and shouted at the electrician, instead of showing an remorse he was laughing at my scared and distressed state of health.
Being at 25th floor, I have no other choice but to depend on lift and leave myself at the mercy of SS management.
but Mr. [ ] & [ ] - please answer who should take the responsibility if some elserly person gets stuck inside the lift for 10-15 inutes and have hearth trouble or breathing trouble? It is prone to have a heart attack for the elderly people or kids even.
Today I was shocked by [ ]'s behavior as well - I called him after exhausting all possible options (calling building security, main gate security, maintenance manager, facilities helpdesk etc.) with great hope of getting this resolved, but all I received is a text explaining escalation matrix!
Please enlighten who can follow the escalation matrix when a person is about to miss flight or being prone to heart attack?
Thanks for sharing!
